Cherry & Chia Oats

I love this recipe because you can literally swap out any of the ingredients for other things you have in the pantry to change the flavour combos and keep it interesting.

Sometimes I use cooked quinoa instead of oats, basil seeds instead of chia, oat milk instead of coconut, or mixed frozen berries.

I love to add cocao powder and turn this into a chocolatey fruit and nut bowl when I feel like something sweet for dinner but want to keep it nutrient dense!

These are also perfect to make the night before and take them to work or school. The liquid is soaked up by the oats and chia seeds so they wont spill in you bag!

Combine all ingredients except walnuts and cherries in a small container.

Mix really well then add walnuts and cherries and leave to soak for 10 mins or overnight if you can.

They will last 2 – 3 days in the fridge.

I like to add a few extra cherries on top the next day.

Sunflower and pumpkin seeds also work well instead of nuts
